Pictures from Boston are up, as well as a few from the NNUN Convocation in DC (not as many as I would've liked, but I was feeling lazy). Not too exciting, but there you go...

We just got back from seeing Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. It was pretty crappy (I mean that in the best way possible!), but we still had big smiles on our faces when we left the theater. I think it served its purpose as Kevin Smith's last movie in the series and it had lots of fun cameos. I liked it!

lovely picture of Boston by Patrick!

We're back! Boston was fun and MIT was pretty impressive, though it didn't suck me in like Mudd did when I visited back in 1997. It was depressing to fly into LAX and be surrounded by brown everywhere. Dirty car, dirty highway, no trees. Luckily Claremont is a little better and was almost as good as the East Coast.

I miss everyone from the CNF program a lot, but at least I have Patrick to keep me company :) I'll probably post some pictures of our East Coast adventure soon...

Still no CNF pictures up...silly Patrick! Hopefully things will be better within a week, but you never know...

So we leave Ithaca tomorrow to go to DC for our NNUN convocation. I probably won't be answering emails or updating the site until Aug. 20 or thereabouts because I'll be frolicking in Boston with Patrick! Here's the plan, if you're interested:

  • Aug. 8-12  NNUN Convocation (Washington, D.C.)
  • Aug. 13  Patrick flies into Washington, D.C.
  • Aug. 14-17  Visit MIT and explore Boston
  • Aug. 18  Providence, Cape Cod or Boston
  • Aug. 19  Fly home to sunny California from DC

Oh, and the CNF pictures I've linked to around the site may or may not be available in the next few weeks. So just keep trying, and they'll be back sooner or later, I promise!

We had a great time last night at the Haunt. I'm going to miss it a lot...there are so many nice people there! Anyway, you can look at the pictures I took here. I'll probably put the best ones in my photo album on this site later on. At least I have pictures to make me feel better.

If you're ever in the Ithaca area and feel like spending a good chunk o' money, check out Taughannock Farms. It sounds like some chicken parts company, but it's actually a classy inn and restaurant. Here's what I had--you'll be jealous!

  • Cold Strawberry Soup
  • Mixed Greens with Ruby Red Vinaigrette
  • Shrimp Scampi with a Crabcake
  • Creme Brulee

Yum, huh? Laura spent 15 minutes savoring her German Chocolate Cheesecake. Guess it was good :) Anyway, I'd say my dinner was the highlight of my day. Hope your day was more eventful!
